In terms of raw materials, the requirements for fine spun woolen fabric are strict, and more than 60 fine wool or high-end synthetic fibers are often used. The fibers are long and fine, with high uniformity and few impurities. Semi spun woolen fabric is more flexible, using 40-60 counts of medium coarse wool, often mixed with fibers such as cotton and linen, with lower requirements for fiber length and fineness, allowing for the presence of short fibers.

Technologically, fine spinning requires a combing process to remove short fibers and impurities, resulting in fine, uniform, and smooth yarn. Weaving is done using high-density plain or diagonal weave, followed by multiple times of singeing and calendering, resulting in a flat and smooth fabric surface with clear patterns. Semi fine spinning uses coarse combing or simplified combing process, resulting in slightly coarse and fluffy yarn with fine fuzz. The weaving organization is flexible, and the post finishing focuses on maintaining a fluffy feeling, with a natural fabric surface and a slight velvet feel.

In terms of appearance and performance, the spun fabric surface is clean and flat, with delicate patterns, soft and textured luster, almost no obvious fuzz, firm and wrinkle resistant, wear-resistant and not easily deformed, and moderate breathability. The semi spun fabric has a slight fuzz on the surface, rough patterns, soft luster, natural texture, soft and elastic feel, better breathability and moisture absorption, but slightly lower stiffness and wear resistance.

In terms of use, fine spinning is suitable for making formal or high-end outerwear, such as suits, windbreakers, etc., with sharp and neat lines. Semi fine spinning is suitable for casual clothing, such as casual suits and hoodies, as well as home fabrics such as blankets, highlighting comfort and casualness.
